The self-titled debut album from Bongo Chico. Awash with colors of Beach Boys, Zombies, Vampire Weekend, and even My Bloody Valentine, the world of Bongo Chico feels at once nostalgic and new — like coming home to a world you’ve never been to before.

“What would my solo record even sound like?” That was a question that I needed to answer.

Writing songs is writing feelings. And feelings are not dots on a fabric, they are threads. 

This was the first time I had written a collection of songs expressly for myself. I pulled the threads, and went where they took me, from my earliest memories to future imaginings, and everything in-between. And in one of those memories, I was a little kid, barely more than a toddler. I was a wrestler and a superhero. And my nickname was Bongo Chico.
